Cataract surgery
Our department is equipped with the most advanced surgical microscopes and ultrasonic phacoemulsification systems. Up-to-date surgical procedures including small incision, sutureless surgery, and implantation of injectable intraocular lens are the main techniques for cataract surgery. After cataract (capsule thickening) can be conveniently managed with Nd:YAG laser in our out-patient clinic.
Laser refractive surgery
With the use of wavefront guided excimer laser treatment, we provide customized vision correction, from fundamental refractive errors to high order aberrations. Our excimer laser system is capable of fast and accurate treatment with the adaptation of flying spot laser, iris recognition, and eye tracking technology. Further more, the latest femtosecond laser in addition to the conventional microkeratome are available for the creation of corneal flaps.
Corneal optical coherence tomography, computer-assisted videokeratography, wavefront aberrometer, laser interferometer, corneal pachymetry, and confocal microscopy are among our facilities for clinical research as well as better service for our patients.
