Community Medicine Training

In the past, there had ever been 7 Community Health Centers of Taipei County affiliated with the Department of Family Medicine, NTUH in 1990+. All of the chief doctors of these Centers have had residency training courses from the FM Department.

We send clerks (5th-year medical students) to Gin-Shan Community Medicine Training Center (affiliated with FM of NTUH and Ministry of Health and Welfare). Interns, preinterns, and third year residents were sent to these centers and NTUH branch hospitals for patient care, community health assessment, and home visits.

We also send our residents to the nursing homes of Yunlin and Bei-Hu branch hospitals for resident care and health assessment. Third-year residents and fellowship doctors participate in long-term care during the training course of the Bei-Hu branch hospital.

Our residents, post-graduate year doctors, and medical students were also trained to coordinate with primary physicians by participating in the Family Practice Integrated Care Project(FPICP) conducted by the Department of Family Medicine, NTUH.
