History
April 1983 – Professor Chen Mingting established the hyperbaric oxygen therapy room, and officially opened the "SECHRIST" single-person hyperbaric oxygen chamber "one set" installed in the 12th ward of the west building.
August 1992 – The hyperbaric oxygen treatment room was relocated to the west ward of the old hospital, and the hyperbaric oxygen chamber was increased to 2 single chambers ( 1 "SECHRIST" and 1 "BARAMED" ).
March 1999 – The hyperbaric oxygen treatment room was relocated to the old hospital in 8 east area, and the hyperbaric oxygen chamber was increased to 3 single chambers ( 2 "SECHRIST" and 1 "BARAMED" ).
April 2011 – The use of the hyperbaric oxygen chamber was suspended during the JCI ( Joint Commission International ) International Academic Medical Center ( AMC, Academic Medical Center ) hospital evaluation.
August 2, 2018 – The hospital agreed to build a hyperbaric oxygen treatment unit at the east building and purchase two single cabins, and assigned Dr. Po-Cheng Huang and Dr. Sung-Chuan Chao of Hsinchu Branch to train for obtain a hyperbaric oxygen license.
November 30, 2018 – The preparatory and integration meeting of the Hyperbaric Medicine Center was held. The participating units included plastic surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, respiratory therapy and other related departments.
May 17, 2021 – A hyperbaric oxygen therapy center will be built at east building B4, and 2 "PERRY" hyperbaric oxygen single chambers will be installed.
June 1, 2021 – 2 specialist physicians and 2 technicians for the preparation of hyperbaric oxygen will prepare related software and hardware facilities successively.
December 15, 2021 – The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center officially reopened.
Vision
It is planned to develop by integrating clinical medical treatment, teaching and service, and in the future, it will become a hyperbaric oxygen teaching hospital as its vision. The advancement of Taiwan's medical technology, the improvement of medical quality, the continuous improvement of professional work ability and professional standards, and the improvement of service quality in response to the transformation of medical models and the advancement of medical science and technology, in order to enhance the well-being of the people.
