Treatment Clinic for hemophilia and rare bleeding disorders
Patients with hemophilia and rare bleeding disorders need immediate treatment if any bleeding occurs. Our center provides treatment and injection/infusion services, 8 AM to 5PM on weekdays and 8AM to 12PM on Saturdays in order to deliver timely therapy to patients in need as possible.
Comprehensive care of hemophilia
Hemophilia patients, especially severe type, need regular check-up of general health status, liver condition, joints health and etc. They also need regular review of treatment plan, especially for growing children. Our center provided comprehensive annual check-up for hemophilia patients, including blood tests, joint X ray, physical assessment of joint health and joint ultrasound. Treatment plan and prophylactic regimen will be reviewed accordingly.
Outpatient service of general hematology
Doctors of our center are all qualified hematologists. Not only hemophilia and rare bleeding disorder, but also thrombotic disorders, anemia and hematologic malignancies are treated in our center. Please go to the outpatient service table for details.
Referral service
Patients with hemophilia might need help from other specialties such as rehabilitation, orthopedics, dentists and hepatologists. We provide special referral channel for hemophilia patients in need of services from these specialists.
Hospitalized patients consultation
Patients with hemophilia or bleeding disorders might be admitted for other diseases or planned invasive procedures/surgeries. We provide peri-operative consultation for any patients with bleeding disorder admitted to NTUH. We will discuss with surgeons or physicians in charge beforehand to make sure all procedures can be performed properly and safely.
