Introduction

History

In order to broaden the spectrum of medical research, National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) has increased focuses not only basic and translational research but also training of research staffs, in addition to raising its medical research standards. On July 1st, 2000, Ministry of Education granted the permission of establishment of Department of Medical Research, which branched out from the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine of the National Taiwan University College of Medicine.

Our Mission

The Department of Medical Research was established to fulfill the decisions made by the NTUH's Research Development Committee; to cultivate research talent in various fields; to carry out the planning, set-up, provision, and coordination of the equipment and space required for each research field; to build a complete clinical research integrated database; to provide the services required for research; to utilize NTUH's research resources; and to promote cross-domain, inter-hospital, and international cooperation, so as to raise NTUH's medical research standards.
