Observership programs

Observership programs

We offer observership programs for musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound. You can learn the diagnosis of musculoskeletal diseases and observe ultrasound-guided injections. Our program is suitable for physicians with basic knowledge of MSK ultrasound who wish to enhance their clinical experience. The observership programs vary in duration, spanning from two weeks to several months. Participants engaging in programs lasting more than three months are required to fulfill the following tasks: (1) prepare and submit a case report or review; (2) deliver a seminar presentation during the morning meeting (with no specific topic restrictions); (3) conduct ultrasound examinations under the supervision of visiting staff starting from the fourth month.

Introduction to the NTUH MSK Ultrasound Center

The NTUH MSK Ultrasound Center, established in 2006, conducts more than 700 ultrasound examinations and 200 ultrasound-guided injections each month. From 2010 to 2023, hundreds of physicians from the United States, Canada, France, South Korea, Singapore, Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Mongolia, Indonesia, Egypt, and Latvia have visited our center to learn techniques of musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnosis and intervention.

The center has published over 300 research papers and 10 textbooks in the field of ultrasound. Notably, the NTUH MSK Ultrasound Center was honored with the Silver Award at the 2021 National Biotechnology and Medical Care Quality Award for its excellence in examination, ultrasound-guided pain management, publication, and education.
