The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) announces that development of physical therapy has been extended from rehabilitation in its early time to the fields of treatment, prevention, and health promotion. In the missions of quality improvement and humanized medicine, physical therapists have been playing indispensable roles in different phases of many medical teams. To join the world therapeutic trend, the first Physical Therapy Center (PTC) in Taiwan is founded at NTUH in May 2008, where patients in any department of NTUH can be directly referred to physical therapists in this center by their responsible doctors. The physical therapy services offered by PTC include both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services. Fulfilling your need, convenience in medical accessibility, efficiency in treatment delivery, effectiveness in therapy outcome, and healthy in future life are what PTC hope to do for patients in NTUH.
