Myocardium Perfusion scan:
1.Registration.Receive a hospital gown.
2.Change into the hospital gown(no need to remove pants or skirts). For female patient, please remove bra. Lockers are available to store the changed clothes.
3.Wait for exam.
4.Enter the procedure room. An IV line will be inserted into a vein. Monitor heart rhythm with an ECG. Multiple blood pressure readings. Radioactive agent will be injected into the IV.
5.Perform post-stress images of heart.
6.Wait for 3~4 hours.
7.Perform redistribution images of heart.
8.Return to the clinic for test results after 3 working days.
Bone scan:
1.Registration.
2.Wait for exam.
3.Receive an injection of radioactive agent in a vein.
4.Wait for 2~4 hours for the agent to distribute in whole body. Drink plenty of fluids between the time of injection and scan. Return at the scheduled time for the scan.
5.Urinate before the scan.
6.Remove all metallic objects and jewelries.
7.Return to the clinic for test results after 3 working days.
