Introduction of Community Service

NTU Hospital established a health hospital committee to conform to the policy of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and to build a good interactive relationship with communities.

Department of Family Medicine responses to organize Community Health Group responsible for implement actions of policies about community health service and adherence to the five actions of Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion to provide comprehensive and total cares of biopsychosocial community to set up a model of preventive medicine and achieve the goal of health for all.

The 5 actions of Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion includes building healthy public policy, creating supportive environments, strengthening community actions, developing personal skills, and reorient health services.

Community Health Group of Health Hospital Committee of NTU Hospital aims to fit our policies to connect the hospital closer with community and to strengthen the preventive medical service for the community. Services the group provides include educational training of community health promotion, cancer screening, health promotion speeches at schools and communities, smoking cessation, visiting and care patients after discharge from hospice care ward, healthy diet, and other community health promotion activities. The group also delivers news and activities through the internet to communities for a healthier community.
