Total of 39 beds dedicated to the management of cardiovascular patients. The front section primarily cares for patients with cardiology problems (such as acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, and fatal arrhythmias). The latter section admits mainly patients with cardiovascular surgical problems (such as post open-heart surgery, post major vessel surgery, heart transplant, ECMO, and ventricular assisted device). It is one of the best cardiac critical care units, combining cardiology and cardiovascular surgery care.
This unit has the most advanced vital signs monitoring system and electronic nursing record for timely decision-making by the medical staff. The CCU also has the most updated blood purification system, cardiopulmonary life support, and various mid-to-long term ventricular assisted devices.
Staffs included one director, two head nurses (for each section of CCU), and several visiting doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents, pharmacists, physiatrists, respiratory therapists, and social workers for holistic care.
