Services
The service provided by department of Prosthodontics includes:
- Fixed Partial Denture: also known as dental crown and bridges. We prepare natural teeth as abutment to support metal or porcelain fused to metal dental prosthesis of crown and bridge. Lately we also introduce all-ceramic crowns for esthetic-demanding patients, to alleviate the possible gingival discoloration brought by traditional crown and bridges of metal materials.
- Removable Partial Denture: includes full mouth complete denture and removable partial denture. The service also includes immediate removable denture delivered just after teeth extraction, to avoid the embarrassing situation of edentulism.
- Dental Implantation: for the patients who are unwilling to have their natural teeth trimmed, don’t want to wear removable prosthesis, or unable to have stable dental prosthesis due to long-term resorption of bone, we provide a multidiscipline evaluation and treatment with periodontist and oral surgeon in the “Implant Center”. Dental implantation is to support prosthetic teeth with implanted titanium screws. Patients are usually benefited by enhanced looking, chewing function, and quality of life accordingly.
- Special Clinic for Temporal-mandibular Disorders: Conducted by three experienced visiting staff, this is the only special clinic focusing on temporal-mandibular joint pain or dysfunction as well as chewing system problems.
