Oral Diagnosis

The training program and objects

The 4-year program for oral pathology specialty offers to dentist 2-year experiences of general dental practice and another 2-year oral pathology specialist training. The permission was via an entrance examination. The goals of the specialty program are mainly basic research combined with oral pathology specialist training. Teaching ability was an addition. The trainee will get the specialty license after finishing the program and pass the oral pathology specialist examination.

 

Aims

(1) In the first two years, the participant is under the basic training at different departments of dentistry and dental ward. The trainee will be expected to become a good general practitioner after training. The ability for taking care of inward patients is also prepared.

(2) In the latter two years, the trainee is asked for participating 3-month training program in Department of General Pathology and 1.75-year training in Department of Oral Diagnosis and Oral Pathology for oral pathology specialty. During the period, the research and the thesis should also be accomplished. 

(3) After finishing the 4-year oral pathology specialty training program, the trainee will obtain a Master degree and the right to take the oral pathology specialist examination.
