Aim
- To cultivate outstanding clinical dentist of endodontics to promote the quality of endodontics in Taiwan.
- To provide the standard training of endotonic specialists, and enhance the specialized ability of the training dentist.
- For preparation of the further education and training center of the dental department, which establish the fundamental and leadership of endodontic training in Taiwan.
Training Course
Clinical aspect
Each trainee should participate the clinical practice at least 5 half days per week, under the guidance of the attending and visiting staffs. All of the training dentists should reach the minimum requirements of treatment with complete data collection of each patient after the confirmation or cosignature by the attending staff. Certification of endodontic specialist training would only be given to those who complete the requirements stated above.
The quality of the treatment and service is maintained under the supervision of the attending staff during the training.
Clinical Minimal Requirement
- Treatment sheet of NTU endodontic department of each patient should be completed and handed in at the end of every semester.
- Requirement must conform with the 5 category of endondontic specialist requirement eastablished by Academy of Endodontology of Republic of China, including at least one case of each category and 8-10 operation cases.
- At least one poster or oral presentation at any academy or institue of dentistry in the world.
Academic Course
In order to enhance the quality of specialist training, the course is designed based on the reference of World’s top dental colleges, which included the basic science knowledge of the clinical endodontology.
Moreover, endodontic department of National Taiwan University Hospital is now one of the qualified training centers of Taiwan Academy of Endodontology.
