Yi-Lwun Ho is Vice Superintendent of National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) and Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine in NTU School of Medicine. He is also Professor (joint appointment) of Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, Graduate Institute of Medical Genomics and Proteomics, Graduate Institute of Medical Devices and Imaging in NTUCM, and Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering in College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, NTU.
Dr. Ho began his medical studies in 1983 at the NTU School of Medicine, receiving his MD in 1990. He then completed residency training in the Department of Internal Medicine of NTUH (1990-1993), and chose to specialize in cardiology, fulfilling his fellowship training in the Section of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, NTUH (1993-1995). In 1998, Dr. Ho commenced doctoral studies at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine,NTUCM; his PhD was conferred in 2003. He also completed an Executive MBA (EMBA) at the Graduate Institute of Information Management, NTU College of Management (2010-2012).
Dr. Ho has been Director of the Telehealth Center in NTUH since 2009. He previously served as Director of the Information Management Division of NTUCM from 2016 to 2019. He has been Director of the Department of Internal Medicine from 2020 to 2025. He served as Associate Dean of College of Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTUCM) and Director of Branch Office of Academic Affairs in the NTUCM from 2023 to 2025.
Since his first publication in 1994, Dr. Ho has authored or co-authored more than 160 articles in peer-reviewed journals, most recently with a focus on telehealth programs and their application to modern medical practice.
