NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch

The integrated NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch is composed of 24 medical departments, 8 specialty medicine centers, 2 education and research departments, 11 medical support departments and 7 administrative departments. Gradual and steady increase of our healthcare service capacity is projected after the integration, with a maximum bed count of 1,969 and over 4,000 healthcare workers when fully staffed. Embodying the spirit of “operational integration, resource sharing and task-role division”, the NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch will aim to achieve the designation of a medical center, thereby increasing the width and depth of the healthcare service of the greater Hsinchu region, fulfilling its medical needs; ultimately, we aim to uplift the healthcare service quality of the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli region as a whole. Each of the three component Campus has its specialty and role: the NTU Hsin-Chu Hospital focuses on providing advanced emergent and critical care; the NTU Biomedical Park Hospital provides resources for translational medicine research, medical device innovation and drug development, while maintaining the capacity for emergent care, oncologic care, high quality health examination and international specialty medicine services; and the Chu-Tung Campus provides community and remote area  healthcare services, including chronic, geriatric and psychiatric care. Future operational projects include the phase 2 construction of the NTU Biomedical Park Hospital research building and phase 3 development planning; establishment of the NTU Hsin-Chu Hospital Nanya Campus, and establishment of multiple specialty medicine centers, including translational medicine research, cardiovascular medicine, neurology and women’s & children’s healthcare. In addition, we aim to promote dialogue and cooperation between biomedical industries and clinical practitioners, provide comprehensive training for healthcare workers  and commit to innovation and research in vital areas, all with the aim of establishing greater Hsinchu region as a smart healthy city.
