The philosophy of the Department of Neurology is to offer a residency training program that produces outstanding clinical neurologists. The program provides a foundation in basic neuroscience plus an opportunity to use traditional clinical skills and modern technology for the treatment of neurologic disease. Besides patient care, our program provides opportunities for learning skills of oral presentation, medical writing and grant application. We also offer small group teaching for medical students. The clerks are encouraged to participate inpatient and outpatient activities.
