Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology
We administer anesthesia for pediatric cardiac surgery, pediatric general surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric otorhinolaryngologic surgery, pediatric orthopedics, and pediatric dentistry. Additionally, we also provide sedatives, analgesia, and anesthesia needed for invasive and non-invasive pediatric examinations and procedures (e.g., for cardiac catheterization, MRIs, and more). We have also recently begun offering anesthesia services for the Oral Health Care Center for Special Needs.
Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine
The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Department is led by pediatric emergency specialists who lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing high-quality emergency medical services for children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The physicians have expertise in various fields, such as pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric transport medicine, diagnosis and prevention of child abuse/neglect, high-fidelity simulation training for pediatric emergencies , pediatric point-of-care ultrasound, and so on. In addition to their clinical work, they are also actively involved in teaching, research, and development in related fields within the country.
Division of Pediatric Nuclear Medicine
The Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Department provides various diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive drugs. The principle is to use the distribution characteristics of radioactive drugs in the human body and the radioactivity of the drugs to perform imaging examinations.
The Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Department and the Nuclear Medicine Department of National Taiwan University Hospital include the Nuclear Medicine Department on the 2nd floor of the east campus main building and the Positron Center on B1 of the east campus main building.
The colleagues working in the Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Department and the Nuclear Medicine Department of National Taiwan University Hospital include six attending physicians, two associate professors, two assistant professors, and one lecturer.
