Introduction
The Neonatal and Premature Infant Surgical Medical Team at National Taiwan University Children's Hospital is composed of a group of clinical medical personnel who have long been committed to the diseases of neonatal and premature infants. We provide our accumulated experience and techniques for many neonatal diseases that require surgical treatment. Neonates are very small, and their physiological tissues and organs are very delicate, which is different from other stages of children. Even when babies are premature, their bodies are smaller, more delicate, and fragile. When dealing with these small and fragile individuals that require surgical treatment, the use of refined techniques and long-term experience is very important for the baby's prognosis. Postoperative medical care and long-term follow-up require a professional team to work together.
This team combines pediatric surgeons, neonatal intensive care unit physicians, pediatric anesthesiologists, and specialized nurses to provide a comprehensive preoperative examination and evaluation for various neonatal diseases that require corrective surgical treatment. We then perform professional and refined neonatal surgery, and provide postoperative care and long-term follow-up by a professional medical team. This allows babies who unfortunately suffer from diseases to receive the best treatment and minimize the impact of the disease on them.
We hope to use refined surgical treatment methods and comprehensive postoperative care to allow these babies with diseases to continue their beautiful lives after receiving treatment, free from the effects of the disease. We will continue to update and improve our surgical techniques and methods to achieve synchronization with the top neonatal medical teams in Europe, America, and Japan, and strive to become the leading neonatal surgical medical team in Asia.
