"Loving" without regrets: An artificial reproductive technology that eliminates infections

The National Taiwan University Hospital's Fertility & Reproductive Medical Center boasts a strong infertility treatment team, as well as a complete range of diagnostic methods and advanced medical technologies. The Center offers reproductive technology services such as artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization (IVF), sperm microinjection, azoospermia treatment, blastocyst implantation, laser-assisted hatching, egg and embryo freezing, egg donation, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, with the aim of helping infertile patients to realize their dream of conceiving and delivering a healthy baby.

Through cross-departmental cooperation, the hospital was able to form a strong and excellent artificial reproduction team consisting of NTUH professors and physicians from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Department of Urology, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Department of Medical Genetics, and other departments, as well as technically experienced technicians and counselors. Given the team’s clinical experience and knowledge, cutting-edge technology, high-quality embryo culture lab, and quality advice, infertile couples are able to access treatments of the highest quality.

In 2012, the Fertility & Reproductive Medical Center was awarded with the Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) and the Bronze Award for its achievements in reproductive technology. In 2017, the Center's Loving without Regrets - An Artificial Reproductive Technology that Eliminates Infections project earned it another SNQ award.

NTU has been developing its artificial reproduction capabilities for more than two decades. The hospital has seen more than 7,000 cases and achieved a pregnancy rate of 40%, outperforming the global average success rate of 30%. The center offers Chinese, English, and Japanese language services, and patients hailing from countries and regions such as the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, China, New Zealand, Australia, and India have all received treatments at our hospital, which is a testament to the hospital's international reputation.
