Organs for donation come from people that are Brain Death. When brain death is determined, organ procurement personnel notify "Taiwan Organ Registry and Sharing Center"(TORSC) to log a donor into the nationwide system.

Your criteria are recorded in the TORSC system. When an orgran becomes available, the computer will generate a list of matching recepients.

Matches are based on the following criteria:

• ABO Blood type
• Status code(1A,1B,2,7)
• Hepatitis
• Age
• Time spent on waiting list
• Other...
