Formally established in 1895, NTUH has a more than 100-year of history. Presently, the hospital has around 2200 bed with an average occupancy rate of 85%. The Nursing Department has 5 management levels: director, assistant directors, supervisors, head nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, clerks, clinic assistants, janitors and assisting workers.
