Enterostomal Therapy (ET) Nursing

  1. Service purpose
    The purpose of Enterostomal therapy (ET) nursing service is to provide our patients appropriate nursing health care instructions and nursing information about stoma, wound and incontinence ; to improve their quality of care and life quality.
     
  2. Service objects
    All inpatients or outpatients of the hospital, and those who meet the following circumstances
    1. Colostomy, ileostomy, jejunostomy, urostomy etc., stoma instructions and stoma marking before operation, stoma care instructions and colostomy irrigation etc. after operation; to promote the ability of self-care for stoma patients and provide outpatient services for discharged patients.
    2. Chronic and complicated wounds: e.g. pressure ulcer, leg ulcer, diabetic foot ulcer, cancer wound, and incontinence associated dermatitis etc.
    3. Other particular wounds: e.g. anal fistula, anal abscess, entero-cutaneous fistula, drain leakage, and gastrostomy/or jejunostomy wound leakage etc..
       
  3. Service hours
    1. Inpatients:  From Monday to Friday, 8:30~17:30
    2. Outpatients: Registration from Monday to Friday, 14:00~16:00

Enterostomal therapy room (ET room) outpatient service: located at the west wing of NTUH, next to the surgical outpatient clinic. (Registration proceeded directly at the ET room, and treatment will be given according to registration order)
