 The Gynecology Division is academically affiliated with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at National Taiwan University. The Division of Gynecology has expertise in all areas of gynecology and gynecologic oncology including adolescent gynecology, menopausal medicine & hormone replacement therapy, urogynecology, pelvic floor dysfunction, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy and gynecologic cancer. Emergent and urgent situations are triaged, and services are made available as needed.


Patient Care - Services
Common diagnoses that are evaluated and treated include, but are not limited to:

  1. Vaginal infections
  2. Sexually transmitted diseases
  3. Polyps
  4. Stenosis/stricture
  5. Threatened/missed/incomplete/chemical and habitual abortions
  6. Blighted ovum
  7. Ectopic pregnancies
  8. Contraception (IUD, other)
  9. Abdominal/pelvic pain
  10. Abnormal pap
  11. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
  12. Abnormal periods
  13. Menopausal symptoms
  14. Postmenopausal bleeding
  15. Post coital bleeding
  16. Stress urinary incontinence
  17. Detrusor instability (urgency incontinence)
  18. Overflow incontinence
  19. Vesicovaginal and uterovaginal fistulas
  20. Rectovaginal fistulas
  21. Uterine prolapse
  22. Vaginal vault prolapse
  23. Cystocele, rectocele, enterocele
  24. Vaginal agenesis and stenosis
  25. Uterine fibroids and endometriosis
  26. Cancer (ovary, Uterus, vagina, vulva, and other gynecologic tumors)
  27. Breast cancer consultation, breast ultrasound screening

  12. Major operation for gynecological tumors
  13. Adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy for gynecologic tumors
  14. Urodynamic study
  15. Operative Laparoscopy
