Introduction to Main Medical Departments in the Stroke Team

The National Taiwan University Hospital Stroke Center is comprised of professionals and management representatives from various departments involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of stroke-related care. Members include representatives from the Emergency Medicine Department, Neurology Department, Neurosurgery Department, Radiology Department, Rehabilitation Department, Nursing Department, Pharmacy Department, Respiratory Therapy Department, Palliative Care Team, Discharge Planning Team, Laboratory Medicine Department, Nutrition Department, Social Work Office, Clinical Psychology Center, and Quality Management Center. Emphasizing interdisciplinary teamwork, the center aims to deliver the most comprehensive and high-quality care for stroke patients.

Honors of the Stroke Center Team

In November 2011, awarded the Taipei City Health Bureau's Gold Award for Medical Safety and Quality Improvement for "Comprehensive Improvement of the Quality and Effectiveness of Thrombolytic Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients."

In December 2011, awarded the Silver Award for Medical Quality Improvement by the Medical Quality Improvement Committee for "Comprehensive Improvement of Medical Quality for Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients."

In 2011, the Acute Stroke Team received the Special Excellence Team Award from National Taiwan University Hospital.

In 2019, the Thrombectomy Treatment Team received the "Excellent Team Service Award" from the hospital.

In 2021, the Stroke Disease Quality Certification was obtained from the Joint Commission of Taiwan.

In 2022, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, NTUH maintained the highest number of thrombectomy cases nationwide.
