Division of Plastic surgery
Plastic surgery was first affiliated with general surgery. In 1979, Prof. Ming-Ting Chen performed a flap reconstruction operation to assist in conjoined infant segmentation surgery, returned to National Taiwan University Hospital, and established the specialist system of Plastic surgery. In 1980, the exclusive ward (12th wards) and the Burn Center were established, and a hydrotherapy room and a small operating room were set up. Division of plastic surgery became a complete sub-division, and the number of patients increased year by year. "Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy" was established in 1983. After moving to the 9D ward of the east site in 1991, Burn Center (3A1A2) was established in addition to the number of ward beds. Medical services include facial trauma, digital replantation, hand surgery, burn care, correction of congenital craniofacial anomaly, reconstructive surgery after resection of head and neck cancer, reconstructive surgery after resection of breast cancer, cosmetic surgery, and reconstructive microsurgery are all quite impressive results. In 2002, the "Center for Human Appearance" was established by Prof. Yueh-Bih Tang. With the growth of its performance year by year, cosmetic surgery provides the public with more professional and complete medical services. After the establishment of children hospital in 2008, pediatric plastic surgery was added to continue to improve children's medical quality.

Center for Human Appearance
The Center for Human Appearance was established on August 3, 1991. Supported by superintendent Yan-Teh Lee, Prof. Yueh-Bih Tang developed the CHA from nothing. The center is located on the second floor of the surgical building at the west site. It contains two clinics, a treatment room, a laser room, and two out-patient operating rooms. The statue "Pinnacle" in the center is the work of the famous sculptor Michael Wilkinson, symbolizing the culmination of the event. .
