Thoracic Surgery

The Division of Thoracic Surgery primarily serves patients with diseases arising in the chest, including the lungs, mediastinum, and esophagus.

Services include:

  1. Lung tumor or cancer
  2. Inflammatory lung diseases such as bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, or fungal infection
  3. Pneumothorax (spontaneous or traumatic)
  4. Empyema
  5. Mediastinal tumor
  6. Myasthenia gravis
  7. Mediastinal lymphadenopathy
  8. Benign or malignant airway stenosis
  9. Esophageal tumor or cancer
  10. Esophageal diverticulum or stricture
  11. Funnel chest or pigeon chest
  12. End-stage lung diseases (for lung transplantation)
  13. Flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and mediastinoscopy
  14. Respiratory ICU services
  15. Outpatient surgical services
